Chapter 55: Deceiving All Beings and Becoming a Saint by Borrowing Money

Chapter 55: Deceiving All Beings and Becoming a Saint by Borrowing Money
But Hongyun had an expression of being never satisfied. Even with a top-grade innate spiritual treasure, the Qinglian Baose Flag, one of the five innate flags, he was still not satisfied.

Do you really think they have no temper? I went to their Kuzhu last time, and now I am coming again...

Well, Zhunti feels very powerless now, as if he is being manipulated by others.

I don't know why every time I meet Hongyun, nothing good happens. The cushion I snatched from Kunpeng was kicked away by Hongyun.

Then she left the palace and tried to reconcile with him, but he blackmailed her and took her to Kuzhu.

Now he has finally turned things around, obtained the Hongmeng Purple Qi, and has the opportunity to become a saint, and he has successfully concealed it from everyone.

However, Hongyun couldn't hide it.

This guy sent an incarnation to their house, and he immediately took control of their fellow disciples and made them helpless.

How can you find justice when you say this?

Hong Yun smiled and said, "You two junior brothers, don't worry. I know that the west is poor and there are not many treasures. I don't covet yours."

But while Hong Yun was speaking, he took the Qinglian Baose Flag from Jie Yin's hand.

Seeing this, Zhunti’s eyelids were twitching wildly and he almost wanted to stop it, but Jie Yin sent a message to stop him.

He could only watch Hong Yun take away the Qinglian Baose Flag.

However, Hong Yun was not satisfied with just this flag, and continued: "It is not enough to just have a top-grade innate spiritual treasure. However, as long as the two junior brothers promise me one thing, I will keep this secret for you two."

Finally, I got to the point. At this moment when the real purpose was revealed, Jie Yin and Zhunti looked at each other, even though they knew they were about to be killed.

But at this moment, the two of them felt relieved.

"Please speak, senior brother." Zhunti said.

Hong Yun smiled and said, "You two junior brothers, there is no need to look so embarrassed. Although I have benefited from you two junior brothers, you may owe me a favor for what I am going to say next."

"What do you mean by that, senior brother?" Jie Yin and Zhunti asked with their eyes lighting up.

"My two junior brothers have obtained the Hongmeng Purple Qi. I wonder if you have realized the opportunity to become a saint?" Hongyun asked.

Jie Yin shook his head upon hearing this.

Not to mention Zhunti, it had only been a few days since he got the Hongmeng Purple Qi, and Hongyun came to him.

Where did he get the enlightenment?
Hong Yun smiled and said, "I have realized the opportunity to become a saint."

As soon as Hong Yun said this, Jie Yin and Zhunti felt as if they were struck by lightning, and their heads were buzzing.

For a moment, they all lost their composure.

"Senior Brother is going to become a saint?" Zhunti couldn't help but ask, staring at Hongyun.

And Jie Yin, who was always polite and respectful, was not much better than Zhunti at this time.

After all, this is sanctification.

Who can keep steady?
Hongyun smiled but said nothing.

Jie Yin and Zhunti kept looking at him and communicating with each other through their spiritual consciousness.

After a while, Zhunti asked tentatively: "Brother, you became a saint. May I ask which of the three methods you used?"

"Prove the truth with force?"

Hongyun shook his head.

"Behead the three corpses?"

Hongyun shook his head again.

"Merit and enlightenment?"

Hongyun then nodded.

Jie Yin let out a long sigh and said, "Brother, may I ask how to prove the truth with merit?"

Hongyun smiled again, looking not at all anxious, which made Jieyin and Zhunti curse in their hearts.

But there was nothing I could do to him.

However, after Hong Yun did this, the two of them forgot about the Qinglian Baose Flag, so much so that they didn't even notice that Hong Yun had put the flag away.

Of course, even if they found out, they didn’t dare to say anything.

Hong Yun did not answer them immediately, but asked: "I wonder if you two Taoist friends have noticed that the Taoist temple where Brother Zhenyuan and I are, Wanshou Mountain, is actually located at the intersection of the east and the west?"

Jie Yin and Zhunti thought about it for a while, then nodded, but they became even more confused.

Zhunti asked, "What does what you are talking about have to do with becoming a saint?"

Hongyun said: "Of course there is. Don't worry, I will explain it slowly and make it clear to avoid disputes in the future." Jieyin and Zhunti nodded.

Hong Yun continued, "Since Wanshou Mountain spans both sides, I wonder if my brother Zhenyuan and I belong to the west or the east?"

"This……"

The two looked at each other.

Zhunti smiled and said, "Brother, in my opinion, there is actually no distinction between the East and the West in the prehistoric world. We are all on the same land."

"As for the distinction between the East and the West, it is actually just an artificial distinction. The East is the most spiritual and has many talented people, while the West is barren and desolate. When the two are compared, there is inevitably a huge difference."

"My brother and I were inspired by this, so we decided to make the West prosperous and make the creatures there no weaker than those in the East. But we don't just want to distinguish between the East and the West."

"As for the two brothers..."

Zhunti paused for a moment and said, "Whether you two brothers are Eastern monks or Western monks, what difference does it make? It all depends on your wishes."

After hearing this, Hongyun couldn't help but nodded. The two people from the West had deeper wisdom and were more stable.

However, Zhunti is better at speaking and is more clever and agile, so the two of them complement each other in character.

Hong Yun said: "Since Junior Brother said so, I will put aside the differences between Eastern and Western schools and talk to you two Junior Brothers."

"I have a method that can not only greatly promote the Western Regions, but also enable you two junior brothers, myself, and my elder brother to attain enlightenment and become saints together. Would you like to listen to it, my two junior brothers?"

Jie Yin and Zhunti looked at each other and said, "We would like to hear your advice, Senior Brother."

"My two junior brothers also know that among the three ways to attain enlightenment, the one that is based on merit is the most special. It uses merit as the source of cultivation. The higher the merit, the higher the cultivation, and vice versa."

Hong Yun said: "But the merits and virtues cannot be obtained through practice. They can only be accumulated continuously until the merits are sufficient, and then you can obtain the Hunyuan Daluo Jinxian Dao Fruit. In addition to this, if you also obtain the Hongmeng Purple Qi, you can become a saint."

"So, no matter what our current cultivation level is, theoretically speaking, as long as we have enough merit, we can achieve enlightenment and become a saint, right?"

Jie Yin and Zhunti both nodded.

"In that case, I have a method that can gain merit and become a saint. You two can follow it." Hongyun said.

Then, Hong Yun secretly taught them the method of becoming a saint.

The method of becoming a saint is nothing else but the method of establishing Western religion.

Seeing this, some people may wonder, why must Western religion be established?

Instead of establishing Buddhism directly?

Actually, this is very simple, and it is related to the teachings of Western religions.

The teachings of Western religions are also very simple, and can be summed up in one sentence: save yourself first, then save others.

In other words, the way of establishing Western religions and gaining merit to become a saint can also be called becoming a saint by raising funds or becoming a saint by borrowing money.

To put it simply, the establishment of this Western religion is actually to deceive sentient beings first, making them believe that after one becomes a saint, he will be able to bring them benefits, and then the heavens will be moved and bestow merits upon them.

In other words, when the two saints in the West founded the religion, they did not establish it first and then, when their merits were not enough, they made great aspirations.

It was because they had great aspirations that they were able to establish their religion successfully.

Having great aspirations is the prerequisite and foundation for establishing a religion.

In summary, it is through the forty-eight great aspirations that one deceives all living beings and gathers their wishes, thereby responding to the will of heaven, and thus gaining the recognition of heaven, bestowing merits, and enabling oneself to attain enlightenment and become a saint.

Precisely because of this, the way the two saints in the West became saints is very different from that of the Three Pure Ones, and is often referred to as becoming saints through borrowing.

Of course, this is also true. However, when we borrow, we are borrowing the credit of sentient beings, not the credit of Jieyin and Zhunti.

Otherwise, how could Heaven easily give merit to the two of them for their empty words?

However, after the two of them gained merit, they also had to fulfill their promise and make the West prosperous.

For this reason, the two of them planned everything during the subsequent Conferred God Tribulation and forced countless Eastern monks to cross, which led to the prosperity of the West and repaid the cause and effect.

Hong Yun certainly knew the risks of becoming a saint by borrowing money, but he had other plans, and this was only his first step.

After all, there is no need to say more about cause and effect for now. Just become a saint first.

However, what Hong Yun didn't know was that his plan almost changed the overall situation in the prehistoric world, and many variables arose afterwards, which we will not discuss here for now.

But at this time, Hongyun revealed the method of establishing the Western religion to Jie Yin and Zhunti.

After hearing this, they were both shocked. Then, after thinking about it carefully, they were both ecstatic.

Because if what Hongyun said was really true, then not only could they become saints and the West have hope of prospering, but, more importantly, wouldn't Hongyun and Zhen Yuanzi, who founded the religion with them, also be tied to them?
