Chapter 60: Nakre's Death
Nakre, the alien lord who is proficient in witchcraft, feels as if something big is about to happen.
A year ago, his adopted son escaped from the castle while he was suppressing a rebellion, but he didn't care. After all, as long as he suppressed the rebellion, he could capture Mortarion again.
But in the past few days he always felt the approach of death. Fear filled Nakre's alien brain, and he desperately used his psychic powers to predict future changes.
But every time he did divination, the extra sun in the subspace would push him back, and the cold light forced him to hide in his own castle.
And today the feeling of death was even stronger, the most terrifying thing was that he had no idea what was going to happen.
Just as Nakre stood on the top of the castle, watching his men in the poisonous fog build the castle into a fortress, death came.
A dazzling beam of light dropped from the sky and hit the castle's psychic shield hard, madly consuming the shield's energy. Countless shells also hit the ground.
Meteors, with terrifying high temperatures and explosions, were efficiently destroying the aliens' lives, until the shield, which could no longer withstand the attack, was pierced and the huge spears of light slammed heavily into the top of the mountain.
It all happened too fast, completely beyond Nakre's comprehension. He could only barely teleport out of the explosion range, and half of his body was carbonized by the aftermath. He saw his fortress being completely vaporized.
The towering mountains were directly wiped out, and the poisonous fog that lingered all year round had a hole for the first time. The bright sunshine spread through the hole onto the burning earth.
With his powerful psychic powers, Nakre sensed that his restless fellows were disappearing one by one. Countless beams of light fell from the sky, destroying every alien fortress.
The huge battleship broke into the poisonous atmosphere of Barbaros. The toxins that could kill any life in the past were simply unable to stop the arrival of the steel behemoth.
The Endurance's huge gun was locked onto the already wounded Alien Lord, and it would begin indiscriminate bombing if it detected any unusual movement.
At this moment, even as the most powerful alien lord on this planet, Nakre could only wait for death to come.
The roar of the Stormbird's engine tore through the burning smoke, and the tall giant set foot on the land of Barbaros again, but this time he would end his miserable childhood.
Numerous Death Guards, wearing newly repainted gray-green and bone-white power armor, surrounded Nakre.
All the grenade launchers were aimed at this hateful alien. A tall figure slowly walked over, and the Death Guards silently made way for him.
"Motarion, my weak adopted son, you have found new helpers, are you going to..."
"Shut up, damn alien! I'll give you a chance, let's play a game.
I will shoot you seven times. If my pistol jams even once, you will survive. What do you think, Nakre? This is your last chance."
Seeing that his adopted son was still so weak and was even playing the so-called game, Nakre secretly despised him in his heart.
He, Nakre, is the overlord of Barbarus and has the strongest psychic power. It is easy for him to interfere with the triggering of the bullet primer.
"Motarion, you are kidding!"
"No, I mean what I say. If you get stuck once, I will let you go. I swear in the name of the head of the Death Guard."
Nakre struggled to stand up and mobilized all his spiritual power to make final preparations for his survival. Then he saw a strange pistol pointing at him.
"This gun doesn't have any..."
"Peng!!"
The Dark Lantern pistol held in Mortarion's hand made an explosive sound, and a beam of light that could completely decompose matter shot out from the muzzle.
With no intention of letting him go, Mortarion directly blew up the alien's head with the Dark Lantern. The harsh living environment of Barbarus taught him the meaning of efficiency.
"Old Biden, times have changed. I just want to kill you. It doesn't matter what weapon I use." Looking at the headless body of Nakre, Mortarion did not feel the joy of revenge, but just felt bored.
Breathing in the poisonous mist that could kill people, Mortarion felt for the first time that this highly toxic substance brought peace to his heart.
"Perhaps I can use the poison as a weapon for the Death Guard," Mortarion thought.
Teams of Death Guard walked out of the transport boats, spread out and thoroughly cleaned up Barbarus. Facing this group of tall warriors, no alien could escape.
Knakre's body was stuffed by Mortarion and placed in the exhibition room of the Endurance as his first prey.
Revenge is only Mortarion's first step. His goal is to ensure that the humans of Barbarus have enough food, but this planet is not suitable for human habitation now.
However, eliminating this harmful poisonous gas is not what the Death Guard is good at, but his brother will help him realize his dream.
On the Emperor's Vision, the Emperor and Hogg watched all of this from the bridge, and expressed their opinions on Mortarion's revenge.
"This is childish behavior. It can't even be called revenge. I can crush that alien with just one finger."
Hearing such brainless words, Hogg immediately retorted:
"And then? Old man Huang, are you mentally retarded? Mortarion has nothing to do with you killing that alien with one finger. This has been his obsession for more than ten years. If you don't let him have his way, he will definitely curse you behind your back in the future."
"Snapped!"
A powerful fist hit Hogg's head. The familiar touch finally made the emperor realize that something was missing these days. He hadn't beaten this rebellious son for a long time.
"No swearing! I'm the only one who can enjoy this privilege here."
"..."
"Old Huang, I have always wanted to ask you a question. Each Primarch inherited a part of your characteristics, so what did I inherit from you?"
Looking down at the dwarf, the emperor, who was stumped for the first time, couldn't help thinking that Hogg was indeed unlike him and had not inherited any good things.
Finally, the Emperor, who still couldn't figure it out, kicked him and said, "You probably didn't inherit my characteristics! After all, you were adopted."
"I am going back to Terra. Don't you have a good relationship with Mortarion? You solved the problem of Barbarus for me."
When Hogg heard that the Emperor was leaving, he was really reluctant to let him go. After all, there were so many good things on the Emperor's Dream, and he had taken away a lot of good things during this period of time.
But if he patted his butt and left, he would bleed profusely! Hogg quickly hugged the emperor's thigh and began to ask for benefits.
"Dear father, rebuilding Barbaros is not a small amount of money. Can you give me some? I promise not to waste any of the supplies."
"Go away. Don't think I don't know what you did on my spaceship. You didn't contribute at all to the Great Expedition in the past few years. The Alisians are living a better life than the Terrans.
Consider it your contribution to the Empire. If anything goes wrong with Barbaros, I will throw you to the front lines of the Great Crusade."
The Emperor really left, taking his big golden spaceship full of treasures with him, but Hogg could not leave, so he could only take over Barbarus' business honestly.
On the sofa of the Black Light, Hogg picked up the talker again, and the familiar sound of electricity indicated that it had been connected.
"Fourth brother, lend me some people."
