Chapter 3 Blank Life
The young criminal was lying on a hospital bed, next to a young female social worker with a smile as sweet as her looks. She sat beside the bed and said in English: "Nuanbaobao, we have found your information. Your name is Cui Jian."
"My name is Cui Jian?" The gangster Cui Jian closed his eyes and thought deeply. Why did he have no impression at all?
The female social worker's name was Li Qin. She handed the information to Cui Jian and said, "Based on your fingerprints, we found your entry record at the customs. Although you are Korean, you have lived in the United States for many years, so you don't understand Korean. Officer Jin and I talked to the village chief of Wuer Island over the phone to understand the situation. He said that you are a loner and never interact with the villagers. But I don't think so. I think you are very cheerful, maybe because of your amnesia."
Cui Jian responded with a smile, saying: "If I hadn't lost my memory, I wouldn't be embarrassed to say that I am Korean."
Li Qin was amused by Cui Jian's words and laughed with her hands covering her mouth.
After confirming his identity information, Cui Jian, who suffered amnesia due to severe brain trauma, embarked on a one-year magical journey in Hancheng.
In Li Qin's eyes, Cui Jian is a humorous, handsome, sunny, lively and cute boy. In Cui Jian's eyes, Li Qin is his first love and everything to him.
During the three months of hospitalization, Li Qin, a Korean teacher, went to the hospital to visit Cui Jian every day, sometimes staying for the whole day, and the two soon established a romantic relationship.
After recovering from his injury, Cui Jian was introduced by Li Qin to work at the branch of Dayin Group. Cui Jian worked diligently and treated others sincerely and politely, which won the recognition of his colleagues and superiors, and he was even received by the president of the branch.
No matter how busy he is at work, Cui Jian will always try his best to squeeze out time to accompany Li Qin. In their sweet love, the two began to imagine their future and even decided on a name for their child.
And everything turned around in the eighth month after I met Li Qin.
At that time, Cui Jian and Li Qin were about to take an important step. Li Qin arranged for Cui Jian to visit her home for a formal visit on the weekend. It was also Cui Jian's first time to meet his future parents-in-law. For this purpose, Li Qin bought Cui Jian a high-end suit. But just one day before meeting his parents, Cui Jian received a call from his boss, asking him to go to Seoul on a business trip on the weekend.
Li Qin communicated with her parents. They were reasonable and understood that Cui Jian's work was not easy, so they agreed to postpone the visit for one week.
After arriving in Seoul, Cui Jian checked into the hotel booked by the company and met with the client at the hotel bar at 9 pm as agreed. With Cui Jian's compliments, smiles, sincerity and a few drinks, the client signed the contract on the spot.
While a client was in the bathroom, Cui Jian met a very beautiful girl named Lin Yu who bumped into his table. After sending the client away, Cui Jian found Lin Yu sitting alone in a corner of the bar crying. Out of concern, he approached her and asked if she needed help. Lin Yu told Cui Jian that she wanted to die.
So Cui Jian became the listener of Lin Yu's story, expressed indignation at Lin Yu's experience, and comforted Lin Yu. The two chatted excitedly, and Lin Yu whispered his room number in Cui Jian's ear, licked his lips and left.
Cui Jian returned to his room and took three cold showers in a row but was still restless. Finally, he walked out of the room and knocked on Lin Yu's door.
When they met, they hugged and kissed each other. When they were in love, Lin Yu pushed Cui Jian to the sofa and went to take a shower, asking Cui Jian to wait for him.
When Cui Jian took off his shirt and was fantasizing on the sofa, the door of the room opened and the person who came in was Li Qin.
When Lin Yu, who went to take a shower, came out of the bathroom still wearing clothes, she sat aside and watched the fun. When he saw Li Qin, the panicked Cui Jian was speechless for a while. When Li Qin turned to leave in tears, Cui Jian grabbed Li Qin, but was slapped hard by Li Qin. Then Li Qin covered her mouth and cried and ran out of the room.
Cui Jian was in a state of complete confusion at the time. Even when he was beaten to the ground by two strong men and stepped on by Lin Yu, his mind was still a mess.
After returning to Hancheng, Cui Jian could not contact Li Qin no matter how many ways he tried, so he met Li Qin again in a high-end restaurant through the couple's mobile phone positioning. This meeting was still a disaster. Li Qin officially broke up with Cui Jian in front of everyone. Cui Jian didn't know who the so-called everyone was, and he didn't want to know. He just didn't want to let go of Li Qin's hand.
So after Li Qin ran away crying again, Cui Jian was beaten again.
When Cui Jian, with a bruised face and nose, was aimlessly looking for Li Qin nearby, he found his first friend in Hancheng: wine.
After that, Cui Jian became a different person. He was late for work and drunk, had no enthusiasm for work, and even refused to comb his hair before leaving the house. His boss talked to him several times, but Cui Jian still did not change, and he was eventually fired from the company.
The unemployed Cui Jian moved into a cheap rental house. He went out drinking every night and slept in the house during the day. He lived a muddle-headed life relying on unemployment benefits and severance pay.
The bar Cui Jian frequented most often was a public bar near his rented house, and he would get drunk every time he came.
It was not known how many times that he got drunk in the popular bar. When it was closing time, Cui Jian was woken up by the waiter and walked out of the bar.
It was drizzling, and there were almost no pedestrians on the road. Cui Jian staggered, holding onto the wall, and walked toward the rental house instinctively like a zombie.
When Cui Jian passed by an alley, he vaguely heard a girl crying for help. He held onto the wall of the alley and staggered to the end of the alley, where he saw two hooligans bullying a little girl at the back door of a restaurant.
A fire began to burn, and Cui Jian shouted, "Stop."
Mang Liu pushed Cui Jian to the ground. Cui Jian grabbed Mang Liu's belt and stood up, but was knocked down by Mang Liu's punch. However, Cui Jian stood up again: "Run, run." He was talking nonsense after drinking.
The girl hugged her chest and tried to run away, but was pulled back by the gangster. Cui Jian hugged the gangster and pushed him against the wall with his weight.
Seeing this, another gangster wanted to chase him. While Cui Jian was struggling with the gangster, he raised his left foot and blocked the alley.
Cui Jian endured the beatings and insults from the two hooligans, lying in the cold rain and watching the girl's back running away. He held on to the heels of one of the hooligans tightly with both hands until he was knocked unconscious by a brick.
