Chapter 15 Three copies (please read!)
Mexican border, Ciudad Juarez.
The city of Juarez is across the river from El Paso in Country M.
As a border city, Juarez is much more chaotic than Mexico City. The two are not on the same level at all. It is known as the most violent city.
Every year, a large number of people die in gang fights, and many of them are innocent.
Sean drove through Juarez, toward the border on the outskirts of the city.
He remembered that Wolverine worked as a ride-hailing driver in El Paso and would cross the border every few days to an abandoned smelting plant on the Mexican border.
Logan and Professor X are hiding in that abandoned factory.
Relying on this information, it is not difficult to find Wolverine Logan and the others.
As long as he finds Logan, he can find Laura and Gabriela who have lost contact.
Hope these two are okay.
Sean whispered in his mind, but his brows furrowed.
He thought he could get here within one day, but he encountered an 'accident' on the way, so it took him three days!
"You said he had been hiding in Juarez?"
Victor asked in a deep voice, but he was slowly getting excited.
"If nothing unexpected happens."
Sean said calmly, identified the direction, glanced at Victor, and reminded him: "You and Wolverine are both old, so take it easy when you meet."
Victor grinned: "I will treat him well."
Sean quietly rolled his eyes.
I'm afraid these two brothers are seriously ill.
A few minutes later, an abandoned factory appeared in the two people's field of vision.
"found it!"
Victor growled in suppressed excitement, and Sean quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
As the two got closer to the abandoned factory, their faces gradually turned ugly.
I saw that the abandoned factory was full of off-road vehicles and some corpses were scattered in the yard.
There was a fight here.
"Late?"
Sean murmured, but Victor said impatiently: "It must be those bastards from the research institute!"
On their way to find Logan, they encountered many attacks from the research institute, and Deadpool was lingering behind them, attacking them whenever he got the chance, which delayed them for a lot of time.
Judging from Deadpool's performance, he must have incorporated some new abilities to be able to find the two people accurately like a hound.
"hurry up!"
Victor shouted anxiously and angrily: "Logan is mine!"
Without having time to pay attention to Victor's crazy words, Sean stepped on the accelerator and drove quickly towards the factory not far away.
At the same time, inside the abandoned factory building.
All the windows in the factory were covered with opaque sunshades, and only some tenacious light shone through the gaps, bringing some brightness to the dim space.
The head of the security department of the Alkali Genetic Research Institute was standing in front of a huge window with a gloomy face, looking at the mutants being brought in.
The mutant had pale skin and no hair on his head, like a living dead crawling out of a cemetery.
The mutant Caliban has the ability to track mutants.
A year ago, before the Westchester incident, Caliban was used as a 'hound' to hunt mutants, but was later rescued by the X-Men and freed from his 'hound' identity.
After the events of Westchester, he lived with Logan and Professor X.
He would stay at the factory and look after Professor X when Logan left their hideout to go to El Paso to earn money as a driver.
"Caliban..."
Donald gave a grim smile. After the battle in Mexico City, under the instruction of Professor Sander Rice, his mission changed from capturing Sean to capturing Laura and the other children.
Because Laura and Sean have a good relationship, capturing Laura is the top priority.
Donald pulled over a stool and nodded to his men, signaling them to press Caliban onto the stool.
"Caliban, Caliban, it is an honor to meet the legendary hound."
Donald took off Caliban's hood with a forced smile.
Caliban shrank his head and subconsciously moved away from a beam of sunlight that fell at his feet.
Because of his mutant abilities and porphyria, he is extremely sensitive and afraid of sunlight. Being exposed to sunlight will not only hurt him, but over time it can also cost him his life.
Therefore, whenever he goes out, he will wrap himself tightly.
"You got the wrong person."
Caliban said in a cold and hard tone.
Donald shook his head and said with disappointment: "Don't say that. I really liked your stories when I was a kid."
Caliban raised his eyelids slightly: "I am really not Caliban, I am just a poor creature."
Donald sighed: "In this case, you are of no value."
He pulled out a dagger and slashed it across the rope holding the sunshade to the window.
The shade slid down, and the bright sunlight fell on Caliban.
"Ahhh!"
Caliban screamed, and his skin was immediately burned like a vampire exposed to the sun.
He struggled with fear, trying to shrink back into the shadows.
The two mercenaries standing behind him pressed his head and forced him to look into the sunlight with a grin.
A few seconds later, when Caliban thought he was going to die, Donald waved his hand and two mercenaries dragged him into the shadows.
Caliban lay on the ground, gasping violently, and the fear brought by the sunlight made him tremble.
"Look, I'm still soft-hearted."
Donald squatted beside Caliban, patted Caliban's head with cold eyes but a smile on his face.
"Don't live like a human for a few days and then really think of yourself as a human. A dog will always be a dog!"
"Help me find prey, or I'll let you die like a dog in the sun tomorrow."
Caliban lowered his head and no expression could be seen.
Donald considerately put on Caliban's hood and reminded him, "Be careful of the sun, buddy."
"Director Pierce, you are still so thoughtful."
A mocking voice sounded, Donald's face changed, and he roared: "It's X-01! Prepare to attack!"
After he finished speaking, the mercenaries picked up their weapons with alert expressions, while Donald quietly took two steps back.
The next second, silver electric light lit up in the dim environment, leaving a brilliant mark in the air, and appeared among the mercenaries.
"Attack! Attack!"
Donald's face changed and he shouted loudly.
Gunshots rang out, and bullets poured out, carrying the mercenaries' fear.
The flickering silver light shuttled through the rain of bullets, and every flash represented the loss of a life.
In just a few seconds, most of the gunshots disappeared, and instead screams blew off the roof.
In a moment, the flickering silver light disappeared, and all the attacking mercenaries turned into corpses.
Feeling the absorbed soul power, Sean smiled.
After fighting all the way, he finally gathered enough soul power and had three abilities to use.
