Chapter 70 Remarks on the launch
So fast, it will be on the shelves tomorrow.
It has only been serialized for a month and a few days, and I have already posted two single chapters. I won’t say too much in my thanks, as it would seem wordy.
I asked for monthly tickets and follow-up readers before, because I really wanted this book to achieve good results. Unfortunately, it lacks a few hundred follow-up readers and has not reached the threshold for the first-order activity, so I put it on the shelves early.
Now I just keep a calm mind and focus on writing a good and interesting story without thinking too much.
The updates of this book are actually much faster than before. Because I have manuscripts on hand, the update status is very healthy. I wrote 200,000 words in just one month.
Seeing the label of 6,000 daily updates on the book page is an honor I have never had before (proud face).
Hope it keeps up.
However, after updating five chapters tomorrow, my stock of manuscripts will be used up, which is still very dangerous. I have to hurry and finish some more.
In fact, if you reflect on the beginning of this book, there are quite a lot of problems.
For example, when I wrote a detective-based story for the first time, the relevance was too weak, and the previous cases seemed to have little to do with the protagonist, which might have lacked a sense of anticipation.
Then the sense of purpose is a bit poor, the contrast of the protagonist's personality has not been fully revealed, and there is a lack of something to pursue. The character of making money has been used in two books, and I don't want to use it again. It didn't seem so prominent in the early stage.
Moreover, there were too many plot lines to lay out, which resulted in a slow pace, and it took a long time for the protagonist to get promoted and become a disciple.
There is no cheat code. I relied on cheat codes to increase my anticipation for my first two books, but I just threw this one away.
It will seem very bland.
But at least I have written it till now.
With more than 10,000 readers before the book was put on the shelves, it had the best early performance among my three books. Of course, it was mainly because of the reader base of the previous book and the old readers as a foundation.
If there are any advantages, it would be that the relaxed atmosphere is continued and some main characters are introduced. The young heroes of the Imperial Capital Guard and the Zhuxie Division are all here, and the plot is about to unfold.
The elderly heroes rarely appear, and this is because I pulled Zuo Xiang out for a walk in advance, otherwise he would have appeared almost nowhere.
When I was preparing for this book in the early stages, I decided that I wanted to write about a world of martial arts and government, with the highlight taking place in the court. Those elderly heroes were the ones I designed first and conceived the most.
In the following plots, I will try my best to correct the shortcomings, promote the strengths, and try my best to show what I want to express.
I have always wanted to hone my ability to arrange plots. The golden fingers in the early stage may help the plot, but in the later stage they will hurt the plot. Just like when I wrote my last book, people always asked why the book was called "Slaying Demons" but the protagonist didn't slay demons?
Because the plot I wanted to write at the time would conflict with the direction of the Golden Finger, so for this book I thought, why not just give it a try without the Golden Finger and see where my abilities lie.
Facts have proved that every time I want to prove myself, I end up proving myself to be terrible, hahahahahaha…
My ability to write plots is just very weak.
but!
Even though I felt that the writing had many shortcomings in the early stages and was not satisfactory to me, it still has more than 10,000 readers. I think this is enough to show that this story still has its merits.
After all, reading novels is not like chasing stars. You won't be satisfied just by looking at the faces of brothers and sisters. No one will follow me for more than a month just because I wrote it under this pen name. I will improve the problems I find later, and I will definitely write better. This is what is important.
This is a topic I have never touched before. After I have written about it, if I can write it well one day, it will be like having another weapon in my arsenal.
Although I have always joked that I want my book to become a big hit and I want to retire before I turn 30...but I still have some pursuits and want to try more models that I have never been exposed to. Maybe subconsciously I still feel that I am young and can make progress.
This book will be very tiring to write. The beginning is very tiring, and the latter part will be even more tiring, but I am looking forward to it.
I have said before that when I write a book, I think about the world view first, the characters second, and the plot third. Only a small part of this world view has been revealed, and not many characters have appeared yet. I believe it will become more and more exciting as time goes on.
After all, I have never been good at the early stages.
The first book had an initial order of 4,400, and now the average order is over 40,000.
The second book had an initial order of 5,900, and now has an average order of over 80,000.
I don’t know how many first orders the third book has, nor do I know how many average orders it has. We’ll have to wait and see. I hope that in the testimonials for the next book, I can write down a result that is not disappointing.
As for additional chapters, I'll do as I said before, one additional chapter for every 10,000 monthly votes. This may be less than the additional chapters for some of the hottest books on the list, but this is the extent of what I can do sincerely.
I have always been in poor health. I would fall seriously ill in the middle of writing each book. Later I thought that it might be because of the long-term stress that caused insomnia, and if this continued for a long time, I would get sick, so I could only work harder without affecting my lifespan as much as possible.
I hope you all can understand.
(Although, I am already very proud of updating 6,000 words a day.)
I would like to thank my editor-in-chief Beihe, who has been helping me with advice since I started writing the book, and has been monitoring the entire process until now, telling me in a timely manner about any problems that arise. I would like to thank my old editor Fuchen, who is no longer responsible for this book, but has always given me valuable advice. I would like to thank the editor-in-charge Bacon, who has been dedicated and helpful all the time.
Even though this is my third time on the shelves in my life, I still feel nervous.
This thing may be like getting married. Although it is not as awkward and scary as the first time, as long as it is with different people, you will inevitably have expectations and fears.
Of course, I have never tied the knot once, I am just guessing. If there are any brothers who have tied the knot three times, please tell everyone whether this is true.
It’s on the shelves, on the shelves, on the shelves.
From now on, we will all be the real breadwinners.
I hope you can continue to support me. I kowtow to you all.
Snap, snap, snap, snap.
See you tomorrow at 12 noon!
For those who think I’m too slow to catch up, I recommend two books.
I Can't Be the Sword God
Please Kill the Demon
