Chapter 5 Uncle Ben's Universal Formula
Parker's house, night.
"Peter? You really don't want to try it?"
Aunt May said to Peter as she stood in the kitchen with a tray of food.
The plate was filled with freshly baked pancakes.
"It's banana and coconut flavored, with cinnamon and honey. It tastes delicious. Maybe you should try it to see if it suits your taste."
Uncle Ben said, "Mei thought you didn't have a good appetite, so she spent two hours making it."
Peter, who was standing by the locker at the door and reading today's newspaper, looked up and said to Aunt May and Uncle Ben, "I've already eaten, Aunt May, Uncle Ben."
"We didn't see you eating."
Uncle Ben shook his head. “Peter, don’t tell me you eat out. If you buy food out every day, your pocket money won’t be enough.”
“Maybe I can make some money myself.”
Peter put down the newspaper and said to Uncle Ben, "I've been fine, Uncle Ben, so don't worry about my condition."
Aunt May disagreed with what Peter said. She put the plate on the table, wiped her hands on her apron, and walked up to Peter.
"You've been in a very low mood lately. I can sense it, Peter. You're a child who can't hide your thoughts."
As she spoke, she held Peter's hand, "Maybe we can help you."
There was a moment of silence before Peter looked up and gazed into Aunt May's worried eyes.
"I'm very good."
In the end, he still said something that made Aunt May slightly disappointed.
Even though he had not spent much time with Aunt May and Uncle Ben, Peter could still feel their genuine concern.
But he couldn't tell the two of them about the problems he was facing.
This is not something that can be solved by two people.
Uncle Ben at the dining table broke the silence in the room.
He stood up and said to Peter, "Peter, if you are not adapting well in school, you can try to take a break for two days. Maybe I can take you to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Didn't you say before that you wanted to experience it?"
"No thanks, Uncle Ben."
Peter shook his head to refuse, "I'm not interested for now."
"Okay, maybe you think I'm being long-winded, but I still want to tell you, Peter, you don't have to worry about it. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. You may not be a strong guy, but you have a great brain and you are good at science."
"And my talent is to talk about long-winded and profound truths."
Uncle Ben said seriously.
And he coughed and took a notebook from the chair next to the sofa, "I know a formula. No matter what the circumstances, it works for me. I believe it will work for you too, Peter."
As he spoke, he wrote a formula on it: "W/G^p==G^r"
“With great power comes great responsibility.”
Peter: "."
Peter was silent when he heard the most famous line come out of Uncle Ben's mouth.
Why do I see an aura of death surrounding you, Uncle Ben?
"There is no such formula, Uncle Ben. Did you make it up yourself?"
After a while, Peter looked up and asked Uncle Ben.
"Of course, I can explain to you what the symbols mean, for example, P stands for"
Uncle Ben was interrupted by Aunt May before he could finish his words.
"Okay, Ben, stop giving me a long lecture. I don't know what the P stands for, but I know that 'G' probably stands for funny."
Aunt May came over and glared at her husband, then patted Peter on the shoulder and said, "Our little Peter may need a rest. My ears are ringing from listening to him."
Being thwarted by his wife, Ben shrugged helplessly and said, "Well, I may have talked a little too much today." Upstairs.
Peter, who had already dealt with Aunt May and Uncle Ben, sat at his desk, browsing the web on his computer.
There was a soft "buzzing" sound coming from downstairs. It was Aunt Mei using a vacuum cleaner to clean the floor.
Chemotherapy, hospital, radiation.
Peter operated the keyboard and entered keywords into Google, and all the information about relevant hospitals in New York popped up.
After a battle with the Hand, he was convinced that the alien genes were affecting him all the time.
An abnormal placenta will be closely connected to various organs of the body, just like cancer cells.
Radiotherapy and chemotherapy can remove cancer cells, but they should have no effect on abnormal embryos.
Although it does not work for abnormal embryos, these hospitals have the best testing equipment, as well as drugs and means to inhibit cancer cells.
Even if the medicine cannot help you suppress embryonic development, you should at least find out what mutations have occurred in the embryo in your body.
“New York Presbyterian Hospital.”
After some searching, Peter identified a hospital.
This hospital is one of the top medical systems in the United States. Its neurosurgery and oncology departments have always been at the forefront of the country. Many presidents and senior officials have received treatment here.
The next thing to do is to make some money.
As we all know, the American medical system has always been the most deceptive.
He had previously heard of a "Runren" who had fled to the United States and went to the hospital to treat his back pain.
The dedicated and kind doctor just chatted with him attentively for fifteen minutes, and then politely sent him out.
The next day, this "Runren" received a bill for "5670" US dollars.
This "Runner" was so confused that he wondered: Is it worth $5670 just by touching it? !
You know, many experienced technical workers in the United States only earn around $1,000 a week.
Seeing that everyone was puzzled, the doctor wrote a sentence on the bill: "Touch it, $10; know where to touch, $5660."
"Runren": "."
Back to making money.
For a good person, it may take some time to make money by abiding by the law.
But for someone like him who tramples on the rules at will, making money should be the easiest thing.
Standing up, Peter looked at the ticking clock on the wall.
The clock points to eleven o'clock, and there is still some time until the second half of the night.
He needed to set out after Aunt May and Uncle Ben had rested.
He felt waves of hunger throughout his body, which was a danger signal his body was sending him.
This was accompanied by a nausea-inducing feeling in the throat.
Although the fusion of alien genes gave him physical qualities that surpassed ordinary humans, the discomfort in his body was a reminder to him.
There is a sword of Damocles above your head, and you don’t know when it will fall.
Once he falls, he will die from a broken chest.
While waiting for time to pass, Peter ate some chocolate and took in a little energy.
Peter didn't start until after twelve o'clock, when Aunt May and Uncle Ben had gone to bed.
Peter casually took out a baseball cap from the cabinet and put it on his head, then quickly entered the community where he thought gangs were most rampant.
In the dark night, his body almost blended into the black.
Thank you all for your collections and votes, thank you!
