Chapter 216 Gwen's Premonition
"Spider Silk" immediately stopped in its tracks with alertness.
A flash of black shadow stopped her movement.
A strong sense of uneasiness suddenly hit her.
The other party doesn't seem to be an ordinary person.
Exhaling, she quickly chased after the other person.
Just as she chased out, a black shadow attacked her.
Spider Silk immediately stepped back, but she was hit hard on the body.
After being attacked, Spider Silk lost his balance and fell to the ground.
The surroundings fell into complete darkness.
Spider Silk quickly stood up and looked around.
The guy who attacked her just now seemed to have used an electric shock device to attack her.
A moment of paralysis caused her to temporarily lose her fighting ability.
After the shadow shot electric energy at her, it disappeared into the darkness.
The spider silk that failed to track the opponent's trace was observing the surroundings vigilantly.
There were the sounds of footsteps, rustling through the bushes, and the crackling of dead branches breaking.
The spider silk suddenly shot out in one direction.
Although it was still pitch black around, there was a slight light.
Without hesitation, she continued to shoot spider silk from between her fingers.
The black shadow was hit by her and let out a muffled groan.
With the help of the dim moonlight, Spider Silk saw the vague outline of the fleeing figure.
She could already hear the other person's footsteps and the guy's breathing.
"Very good, I want to see who you are, this malicious fellow."
Spider silk quickly chased after the other party.
The two sides chased each other in the woods.
Whenever the spider silk was about to catch up with the other party, the black shadow would speed up and shake her off.
The spider, feeling furious, was chasing the other person, but suddenly stopped.
A breeze blew through the woods, rustling the leaves.
Apart from that, everything was quiet.
Suddenly there was movement in the quiet darkness.
Running footsteps came towards her through the bushes.
Silk immediately got into a fighting stance, shooting webs from his fingertips.
Unexpectedly, the spider web she shot out was dodged by the other party!
Just as the spider silk was about to continue shooting out spider webs from the fingertips, the other party suddenly turned around and fled in another direction.
Just at this moment a road truck passed by nearby.
The lights of the truck shone into the woods, and with the faint light, Spider Si could see the other person's face clearly.
It was a face exactly like his own.
How can it be? !
The shocked Spider stopped.
It seemed that the woman who was following her and looked like her quickly escaped from the woods while Spider Silk was distracted.
Spider Silk did not chase after her. She stopped and looked around.
Everything around returned to its vague outlines. There was no movement, only the sound of trees whispering to each other.
Could it be that all this is just something I imagined out of thin air?
No, that woman's face was exactly like mine.
Could it be the world's own isotope?
But I just did some research myself, and there has never been a superhero named Silk in this world.
Is it because the other person is not a superhero?
Her eyes flickered as she looked at the woods around her.
The next day, early in the morning.
Gwen plans to find Silk, Jessica and Spider-Man Noir.
She wanted to take Jessica and the Spider-Men around New York City as her guests.
As for Peter, she invited him to join her, but Peter expressed no interest in it.
As soon as she stepped onto the road, she saw a white car speeding past her.
Gwen, sensing something was off, looked towards the car.
The car disappeared from her sight in the blink of an eye. Gwen shook her head, thinking that she was being too suspicious, and left the car behind, and continued to walk forward.
The car that Gwen noticed was, to be exact, an SUV.
The interior is cream-colored leather, and there is a car TV, USB port, GPS (Global Positioning System) on the back of the seat, and a surveillance camera facing the interior of the car on the center console.
The naughty little boy woke up slowly and looked at everything around him in confusion.
She huddled in the last row of seats, her mouth sealed with something, but she soon discovered that it was two strips of black tape, crossed together to form a big X.
Her hands and feet were bound with cable ties, making her unable to move.
After trying to struggle, the little rascal felt weak all over and dizzy.
The whole world swayed like the surface of water in a breeze.
Vague memories flashed through her mind - someone holding her down, a needle piercing her skin.
She saw the syringe and her consciousness began to blur until she lost consciousness.
The pine trees were rapidly receding outside the car window, looking even greener against the gloomy sky.
The car was going very fast, and the shadows of the trees seemed a little blurry in the little naughty's eyes.
Whatever medicine they gave her hasn't worn off yet.
The little rascal opened his eyes and looked forward, and found a bald guy sitting in the passenger seat, cleaning his pistol out of boredom. The car was filled with a dizzying smell of gun oil.
She looked to the side again and found that it was Max, a friend she had just met.
Max's mouth was also sealed, and the little naughty couldn't see his hands and feet, but the way he struggled told her that he was also tied up.
And like her, his hands were tied behind his back.
The little rascal tried hard to recall what had happened.
She remembered that Max, as a reporter for the school newspaper, wanted to invite her for an interview to find out what she had experienced in the underground world of the copper mine.
Although she had been keeping the secret for Peter, she couldn't refuse him and had to agree to tell him something that didn't involve Peter.
But unexpectedly, the two had agreed to meet at a cafe near the school, but they were attacked before they could say anything.
The little rascal pursed his lips and whimpered.
The bald man turned his head towards her and stretched out a long finger in front of his mouth.
"Shh, there's time for you to talk. Now let me talk to your friends first."
He turned his face towards Max, who was now pale and sweating profusely.
"How about this, Max, I have two questions for you. If you can answer them honestly, I promise not to kill you."
The bald man fiddled with the dagger in his hand, and she heard the creaking sound of metal rubbing against each other, like hinges.
It was a dagger that was at least a foot long.
The bald man flicked the dagger blade lightly.
"For the mission assigned by the boss, I have to be ruthless, so please forgive me for doing this. My first question is about the girl behind me."
He turned his head and glanced at the little rascal.
The little rascal couldn't understand the meaning of his eyes, but it was definitely not a good intention.
"You know her superpowers?"
Max whined a few times.
"Oh."
The bald guy smiled and tore off the tape on his mouth.
"it is true."
Max said impatiently, and then opened his mouth and breathed hard, "She is a mutant. She can take away the other person's abilities through skin contact."
"Little Naughty can absorb the opponent's memory and abilities through physical contact. Under normal circumstances, the absorbed abilities will disappear after a few minutes, and during this period, the opponent will be in a state of unconsciousness."
He said quickly, "In order to prevent her from absorbing her companions' abilities, she wrapped herself tightly. She can also make superheroes temporarily lose their superpowers and become ordinary people. This is her ability. She told me about it. I remember it very clearly. These are her abilities. Is there anything else you want to know?"
The little rascal struggled in vain in his seat.
She wanted to kick this guy in the face, she wanted to bite the seal on his mouth, and then yell at him to shut up.
If she had had the slightest chance, she would have kicked him out the window.
All in all, she was angry at the other party's disloyal behavior.
The bald man continued his questioning, "Okay, then you know what she saw during the expedition organized by Tony Stark in the copper mine?"
He paused and took a deep breath. “You seem to be a reporter. You should know more than me, right?”
Max started to spill the beans again, telling everything he knew.
But unfortunately he didn't know the real situation, so the information he said was useless.
"That's all I know," Max said hastily, "Please let me go. I have nothing to do with her at all."
The bald man let out a long sigh. "That's easy," he said with a smile, "I was worried that it would be difficult, but usually my worries always come true. Thank you for your cooperation."
Max breathed a sigh of relief, nodded, and even smiled.
