Chapter 19 Bloody Gala
"It's a beautiful dress, Gloria."
Gwen said to Gloria, her good friend from the band, who was sitting next to her.
"I designed it myself. You know I like to do things myself."
Gloria rubbed his feet and stood up. He looked at the students reveling in the audience and said to Gwen, "Come down and walk around. My feet are almost numb."
Gwen nodded and followed her down from the audience.
The two men walked around a table covered with crepe paper in the school's color scheme, bottles of wine with candles in them, flyers for the contest, and Gardener's brand nuts for the students to eat.
"But I must say, Gwen, you look very beautiful and radiant today. Do you have any secret?"
Gloria stood at the table, picked up the nuts and asked Gwen.
Gwen was wearing a high-waisted dress at this time, and the right clothes perfectly set off her figure.
"The secret is, I'm Don McLean's secret lover."
(Don McLean, American folk singer from New York.)
Gwen made a joke, picked up the game flyer from the table, and then turned his eyes to the football players who were warming up, and said to Glory: "I don't know if we can win today's game."
"Hi, Gwen."
As Gwen was chatting with Gloria, a voice appeared behind her.
The two turned around and saw Frank appear behind them.
"Frank?"
Gwen knew this taciturn classmate, but she had the impression that he had never spoken to her on his own initiative.
Frank forced a smile and asked Gwen, "Can I talk to you?"
"Forehead"
Gwen hesitated, then nodded, "Of course."
She remembered that this classmate, like Peter, had often been bullied by the school bullies.
She always has a sympathetic attitude towards the victims of school bullying.
Glory shrugged tactfully at Gwen and said, "You guys chat, I'll wait for you over there."
After Gloria left, Gwen asked Frank, "What should we talk about, Frank? About studying? Maybe I can give you some advice, but I don't know if it will work."
"No, not about study, I"
Frank had a smile on his face and looked straight at Gwen, "I just want to say that you look beautiful today."
Gwen's high-waisted dress matched her blonde hair perfectly, and she looked mysterious with a simple necklace around her neck.
It seems that Gloria was not complimenting me. Maybe I really dressed a little too maturely today.
Gwen thought to herself.
She quickly shook the messy thoughts out of her mind and thanked Frank, "Thank you."
"I haven't seen you come to class recently. Is there something wrong?"
Gwen really wanted to leave. She felt the atmosphere was too awkward, but she also thought it would be impolite to leave immediately, so she just found a topic to talk about.
Frank was silent for a moment, looking at the students celebrating around the bonfire, "I've been through some bad things."
Gwen thought he was talking about being bullied, so after thinking for a moment she said, "I'm sorry, but maybe it's all over now, and we can put the bad memories behind us."
"I can't forget it."
Frank raised his head and stared at Gwen with burning eyes. "I want to say that I won't blame anyone, but that's a lie! I will blame everyone and will keep blaming everyone. I don't want to lie to you now."
Listening to the other party's somewhat crazy words, Gwen frowned and an ominous premonition came to her mind.
She couldn't help but take two steps back.
"It's all over, it's all over now." Frank said, with more madness in his eyes.
"I still remember the last school event like this, the school spring dance. I also attended that dance. I wanted to invite you to be my dance partner. That day I saw you wearing high heels. You were two inches taller than me. I wanted to invite you, but..."
He paused and took a step closer to Gwen.
"Josh and his group of football team members tied me up on the stage as a silly prank and poured beer and juice on me. It was not a good feeling. I was like a monkey being watched. I will always remember what Josh did to me."
Gwen's breathing quickened, "Did you kill Josh?"
"That's just to make him get the punishment he deserves!"
Frank's voice was filled with resentment and his eyes were red.
But he quickly calmed down and exhaled, "Now, I have a different kind of power. I can do whatever I want. This is a talent given to me by God. I am the king who controls everything!"
He approached Gwen step by step, "Gwen, when I was tied up on the stage, you were the only one who was willing to help me. You scolded those people and untied me. From that time on, I fell in love with you, Gwen, I love you. Will you be my queen?"
Gwen looked at Frank in front of her with shock.
She knew that the guy who sent the love letter to her mailbox was the pervert in front of her.
"You crazy person!"
The moment Gwen finished saying this, she picked up the gondola filled with nuts on the table.
(Gondola: A distinctive Venetian pointed boat, many of which are used in the United States to hold fruit.)
"Oh!"
The gondola hit Frank on the head with the nuts in it.
The nuts fell to the ground with a crash, but Frank, who was hit on the head, was unharmed.
He narrowed his eyes, a cold light flashed in them, and pushed out a palm towards Gwen.
"Boom!"
Gwen's body jerked back and hit the table hard.
The wine bottle with a candle on it fell to the ground with a bang, and flames immediately spread out.
The promotional leaflets for the competition were also ignited, and the entire lawn was covered with sparks and began to burn fiercely.
Gwen, who was hit on the back, felt a black screen in front of her eyes.
She tried hard to suppress the pain and stay awake.
The sudden change attracted the attention of everyone present.
The cheerleaders, football team members, and students in the audience all turned their eyes to the two.
The entire playground fell silent.
“I have always believed in this saying: If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away!”
Frank said this while casting a vicious look at the members of the football team.
"run!"
Gwen shouted to the onlookers who were still in a daze.
"boom!"
A noise broke out among the crowd, and screams and shouts of terror filled the entire playground.
Everyone rushed to the entrance of the playground.
The originally lively event suddenly turned into a hell that everyone scrambled to escape from.
The flames spread along the lawn and, fueled by the wind, quickly spread to the surrounding areas.
