Chapter 148 The Radiant Black Cat
When Tony Stark rushed to the state park mining tunnel, what he saw was a mess.
All the security personnel who were originally ordered to guard the tunnel entrance disappeared.
There was a lot of blood on the ground, and there were signs of severe damage everywhere.
"So, can someone tell me what the hell is going on here?"
Tony asked the people from Valen Mining Company.
Danforth, the president of Valen Mining Company, stood beside Tony and hung up the phone he was on.
"Our people are missing."
Danforth was calmer than Tony had imagined.
He told Tony: "Now we assume the worst, that something bad has happened to these security guards."
As he spoke, he glanced towards the sealed tunnel entrance.
"I don't know."
Tony took off his sunglasses and asked him in a dissatisfied tone: "You have deployed a lot of security personnel here, even mercenaries, and then after something like this happened, you tell me that you don't know what happened here?"
“It’s sad to say this, but it’s the truth.”
Danforth shrugged and said to Tony, "All the monitoring systems we set up here are out of order. Our ears and eyes are blocked, so naturally we can't get any useful information."
"The surveillance system failed?"
Hearing what the other party said, Tony's expression became a little more serious.
"Does this mean that there is another force eyeing this place?"
He looked around at his surroundings, doubts rising in his heart.
Who else noticed this?
"Of course not me."
In response to Peter's questioning, Helen flatly denied that she had killed those people at the tunnel entrance.
Peter realizes something is wrong when he discovers his Gem Wasp monitor is malfunctioning near the entrance to a copper mine tunnel.
When he arrived at the scene, he found that he was a step too late.
There was a strong smell of blood near the entrance of the tunnel, and it was obvious that the people here had gone to see God early.
So he called Helen to confirm whether she was the one who killed these people.
"Not me. After all, we are a team now. Although I disagree with your behavior, I will inform you before I take action."
Helen said to Peter, "Those who are related to vampires are nothing more than those few people, the Vampire Queen, or the mysterious group of vampires that have ruled the New York underworld. Perhaps you can ask them."
After finishing his call with Helen, he put down his phone.
Soon the phone vibrated again, Peter looked down and saw that it was Gwen calling him.
"Hi, Gwen."
"Hi, Peter."
Gwen sounded in a good mood and asked Peter, "Where are you?"
"I'm at home, what's wrong?"
"I want to go out for a cup of coffee, or maybe a root beer. Tomorrow is the day the band is on stage, and I want to relax."
Gwen asked him out to relax.
Peter thought about it and nodded in agreement, "Of course, where are you?"
The next day.
Metropolitan Opera, New York.
Gwen stood backstage and glanced at the audience.
"Honestly, I felt a little dizzy, as if I had come to a street full of people, and then all the cars around me blocked me in the middle."
Gwen exhaled and said to Glory.
The audience in the theater started to come in and things started to get noisy.
Gloria was now staring at a poster.
In the poster, Felicia Hardy is wearing a rock-style yellow miniskirt and sunglasses, sitting sideways on a chair, revealing half of her image.
Next to the chair were several pet black cats, dressed in punk-style clothes, sitting around her.
At the top of the poster was a line of words, "Felicia Hardy and her secret."
"This poster is great. Has Felicia revealed her true colors? Her secret is that she is actually a glutton and she wants to devour the entire art world?"
Glory complained to Gwen, "Wait. What did you just say, Gwen?"
"I said I was a little nervous just now."
Gwen said to her bestie speechlessly, "Aren't you nervous?"
"Maybe I was born for big scenes." Gloria took out a makeup mirror and checked if her makeup was smudged.
"Also, Gwen, don't be nervous. We are just decoration. Everyone here is here to see Felicia."
Gwen took a deep breath and looked down at her white performance costume.
She asked Gloria, "You don't like Felicia Hardy, do you?"
"No, of course not."
Gloria immediately denied the claim.
Betty, who was standing nearby, added: "Glory used to say that Felicia had always been a brainless, crappy singer with a voice that sounded like the devil tuning his own farts."
Gloria looked defeated. "Well, I did say that, but she is also a type of person we cannot deny - a winner."
As she spoke, she glanced over Betty's head.
Betty wore a cartoon-style hat, which she felt didn't fit in with the rock theme of the night.
Turning her attention from Betty's hat, Gloria coughed and said, "I don't care why we're here tonight, all I know is that Felicia gave us an opportunity, and we're going to make the most of it."
the other side.
Black Cat stood in his VIP box and looked towards the audience.
The black cat with the lavender wig turned the telescope in her hand.
She tried to find Peter inside, but couldn't find him after searching around.
"Well, now might not be a good time to enter."
The black cat uttered a string of French and then put away the telescope.
She originally thought that Peter would show up, but she didn't see him and felt a little depressed.
"I have also specially prepared an encore segment, but I don't know if it will be used."
After calming herself down, she walked towards Gwen and the others backstage.
Gwen kept looking at her phone as she prepared to go on stage.
She just called Peter.
She was a little anxious because Peter had not arrived in the audience yet.
Peter, who was urged by her, ran into some trouble at this time.
The Gem Wasp detected something happening at the mine tunnel entrance, so he rushed to the scene.
This caused me to be delayed in attending Gwen's performance.
"I encountered a little trouble, but it's not a big deal. I'll be there later."
Seeing the message Peter sent her, Gwen felt relieved, gathered herself together and prepared to go on stage.
The dazzling lights on the stage turned on.
The warm light instantly swept across the entire stage.
The audience cheered at an astonishing volume.
The long-awaited audience can't wait to see the host of the stage - Felicia Hardy.
"Hello, New York City! I'm Felicia Hardy."
Wearing a purple miniskirt, avant-garde sunglasses, and silver high heels, Black Cat stood in the center of the stage and shouted to the audience.
The audience immediately gave her the warmest cheers.
Gwen and several other band members stood behind the black cat and were shocked at the dazzling light on the stage.
Gwen held the drumstick blankly, staring at the black cat's back.
She felt that the other person's current image was definitely cooler than the image of a black cat wearing a mask.
Betty whispered to Gwen and Gloria, "I can't believe it, she has it all."
Gloria was also stunned by Felicia on the stage, but soon she whispered, "Maybe she thinks she is in an animation made by Hanna Baraboo Company!"
When the cheers of the audience died down, she pointed to the band members standing on the left side of the stage, who were wearing black cat uniforms and masks and dressed themselves up as black cats, and said:
"These are my black cats!"
"I am so touched to be with my friends tonight."
When she spoke of her friends, she glanced toward Gwen.
"And my family, playing with you, with our loved ones here, we are gathered together, together here, we know that this moment, or any moment, could be the last second of our lives."
She raised the microphone and turned up the volume, "But... we will never stop dancing."
As she uttered the last sentence, the sound of drums immediately rang out.
The rock music performance officially begins!
Gwen put her heart and soul into her playing.
