Chapter 28 Burn Burn
Lou Xiao'e and Gao Zhendong have officially met. Gao Zhendong has a good impression of this celebrity from "Siheyuan", but also feels a little pitiful. On the surface, he seems tough and arrogant, but in fact, he is a naive person who is often led by the nose.
Gao Zhendong could probably guess what she was here for, but he didn't know whether she came here at the request of her family or she came here secretly, so he simply asked directly: "You are not from the courtyard, why are you here? Visiting relatives?"
Lou Xiao'e is very straightforward: "My mother wants to introduce me to someone, so I came here secretly to take a look."
Gao Zhendong asked knowingly: "Who is it? Maybe I know him. Did you see him?"
Lou Xiao'e's answer was completely beyond Gao Zhendong's expectation: "I didn't see it. I was too lazy to look. In fact, I didn't come here to see people, I just wanted to see the environment. Now I have seen it, so I don't need to look anymore."
Gao Zhendong was puzzled: "This is the front yard. The person your mother introduced to you was the one in the front yard?" Gao Zhendong couldn't say that Xu Damao lived in the back yard when you haven't even seen the back yard yet.
Lou Xiao'e shook her head: "No, I heard that he lives in the backyard. Let's not talk about that. You said you work in a steel mill. What does a steel mill do?"
Gao Zhendong pointed to his bookshelf and said, "Technician at the steel mill, just assigned."
Lou Xiao'e estimated Gao Zhendong's age and said, "You started working quite late."
Gao Zhendong confessed honestly: "Yes, I am 25 years old. I was in the war before. After I defeated the American devils, I was admitted to Wudaokou College. I just graduated now."
Lou Xiao'e had never seen such a legendary experience of both literary and martial arts. With a gleam in her eyes, she stretched out her hand and shook Gao Zhendong's arm: "Are you so amazing? Tell me, tell me."
Gao Zhendong raised his hand to look at his watch: "Okay, but it's already lunchtime, let's go out and eat hot pot and talk while we eat."
The two of them packed up their things and went to the street.
After dinner, Lou Xiao'e returned home and her mother came up to her and asked, "Did you secretly go to Nantongluoguxiang? How was it? Were you satisfied?"
Lou Xiao'e untied her scarf and said, "Mom, don't worry about my business. I know what's going on."
Her mother was unhappy: "This is for your own good."
Lou Xiao'e turned her head and said, "Anyway, don't make any arrangements for me."
Father Lou looked at Lou Xiao'e's expression, as if he understood something, and said to Mother Lou: "If the child is not happy, don't worry about it. Xiao'e is still young, why are you in such a hurry?"
Lou Xiao'e smiled at her father and turned to go upstairs.
It's another Monday, and Gao Zhendong's thermocouple project team is preparing to burn the electrodes.
Gao Zhendong organized a meeting first to confirm the progress of various tasks.
At Liang Faming's place, the verification test design has been completed, and the comparative test design is being done, but the verification test will be the first step, and this progress is sufficient.
As for Yi Zhonghai's machining, after the efforts of Gao Zhendong, Liang Faming and Yi Zhonghai, the first version of the machining design has been completed. Yi Zhonghai and his apprentice Jia Dongxu took the drawings and used the temporary materials selected by Sister Fang to process a part of the kit. They are currently processing the remaining parts so that they can catch up with the test.
Sister Fang and Xiao Liu's vacuum induction furnace has also been prepared, and the materials in the list provided by Gao Zhendong have also been prepared, and they are just waiting to start trial production.
Gao Zhendong said that he would imitate first and then develop his own product. In fact, he wanted to achieve the goal in one step. During the trial production process, he directly made both the imitated K-type (nickel-chromium-nickel-silicon) and the self-developed N-type (nickel-chromium-silicon-nickel-silicon) thermocouple electrodes.
Don’t underestimate the difference of one word. This one word can solve the problem of unstable thermoelectric potential of nickel-chromium-nickel-silicon thermocouples in the two temperature ranges of 300°C-500°C and around 800°C. Of course, it is not so easy to make the difference of this one word, otherwise the N-type thermocouple would not have officially appeared in the 70s.
It is not Gao Zhendong's style to drag his feet even though he knows the answer. This is different from those daily necessities that are inconvenient to use because they have no origin. Original new things do not need to explain their origins or reasons. Once they are made, they are the truth.
Gao Zhendong prepared three types of positive and negative electrodes for the K-type and N-type electrode material ratios, for a total of twelve. During the experiment, the positive and negative electrodes with various ratios were cross-matched to determine the optimal pairing.
Among them, the K type has a positive electrode (KP) with a nickel-chromium ratio of 90:10, and a negative electrode (KN) with a nickel-silicon ratio of 97:3. This pair of positive and negative electrode materials is the correct answer for the K type.
Similarly, the N-type has a positive electrode (NP) with a nickel-chromium-silicon ratio of 84.4:14.2:1.4, a negative electrode (NN) with a nickel-silicon ratio of 95.5:4.4, and 0.1 is the trace element magnesium. This pair of positive and negative electrode materials is the correct answer for the N-type.
As for why we didn't prepare more confusing options, the reason is simple.
One reason is that it is not necessary. Sometimes, some things can be explained and covered up by the use of genius. Although these things are copied from later generations, copying books for the benefit of the public can't be called copying.
Secondly, Gao Zhendong wanted to save time. He had to get the right to speak on technology in the shortest reasonable time. Otherwise, even if he got something good later, others would not let him do it. That would be a pity. At the same time, the materials for the thermocouple high-temperature protection tube and the things prepared for another matter were also solved at the same time.
Common methods for manufacturing nickel-based alloys include arc melting, vacuum melting, powder metallurgy, molten salt electrolysis and so on. Taking the existing conditions into consideration, Gao Zhendong finally chose the vacuum powder metallurgy method, which is a further improvement of the third method.
Specifically, the main steps are as follows.
First, select the appropriate raw material powder and mix it evenly in a certain proportion.
The evenly mixed raw material powder is then placed into a hot press and hot pressed into a blank at a certain temperature and pressure.
Then the alloy raw material blank is placed in a vacuum induction furnace and sintered within a suitable temperature range to cause the raw materials in the alloy raw material blank to undergo solid-state diffusion reaction and generate corresponding alloy structures.
Finally, the sintered billet is subjected to molding, hot rolling, stretching and other processing techniques to produce nickel-based alloy products of the required size and shape.
Of course, when necessary, heat treatment processes such as quenching, annealing, tempering and quenching can be added to make the product easy to process or wear-resistant and durable.
In terms of time scheduling, Gao Zhendong arranged to start assembling and conducting verification tests as soon as a set of positive and negative electrodes were produced. After the verification test, the positive and negative electrode groups were put into the comparative test.
In this way, the verification test can be carried out without waiting for the firing of all the ratios of positive and negative electrodes.
At the same time, the comparative test can be carried out after the verification tests of the first two groups of positive and negative electrode groups are completed. The progress of the entire comparative test will not lag behind the verification test too much, which saves a lot of time.
Although this arrangement was only the application of basic knowledge of future project management, it still impressed the project team members, who even said that Team Leader Gao had a clear mind and arranged things in an orderly manner.
In fact, in the 20s, no one in China had a systematic understanding and application of this work organization method. It was not until the 50s that the famous mathematician Hua Luogeng began to devote himself to the application and popularization of mathematics, applied mathematical methods to practice, and made careful research on the two methods of "coordination method" and "optimization method". Then he expressed them in his own language in an easy-to-understand way and vigorously promoted and popularized them. Only then did people realize and master this method, which greatly improved work efficiency.
After receiving the preparation method, ratio list and work plan, the project team plunged into the work of electrode preparation and testing.
Electrodes, burn!
Because there are some easter eggs in the middle that change the style, so today's two chapters are posted together, in case you are not used to it and can't get over it, ^_^
