Chapter 133: The technical department collectively ascended, Gao Zhendong had nothing to do (3k)
The title of the application report is "Application for upgrading our factory's technical department to a technical department."
This is also the matter that the leader once mentioned that the conditions are ripe.
If only Gao Zhendong is outstanding, then the Technical Department and the Technical Department will be like water without a source and a tree without roots, which will be out of reach.
However, ESR was able to successfully conduct research despite Gao Zhendong's long-term support for the Operation Institute, which could only provide support on major issues. This provided reason to upgrade the Technical Section of the Third Steel Rolling Mill to a Technical Department.
Combined with other achievements, the reasons for this upgrade are quite sufficient.
This is not a small matter, nor is it something that the Third Steel Rolling Mill can decide on its own. It requires compilation.
If it is upgraded, there will be one more director, several deputy directors, more section chiefs, deputy section chiefs and staff.
Its complexity and impact far exceed that of promoting a division-level cadre. Similarly, its difficulty also far exceeds that of promoting a division-level cadre.
Fortunately, the technical department of the Third Steel Rolling Mill was not configured according to the proper administrative level because of its small number of staff and weak strength, but was downgraded one level.
Now that all conditions are ripe, it is only natural to upgrade the administrative level back to what it should be.
It can be said that Gao Zhendong has been working at the Third Steel Rolling Mill for several months. Relying on a series of achievements and trained personnel, he has made up for the shortcomings of the technical department and pushed the technical department back to its original position.
With the promotion to the Technical Department, the original personnel will basically not be changed much, and the position of section chief that Deputy Section Chiefs Zhao and Wu had been dreaming of was suddenly obtained in excess.
Thinking of this, Director Yang invited Chief Engineer Chen.
After Mr. Chen sat down, he handed the application report on the table to Mr. Chen.
When Mr. Chen saw the title of the application, he was stunned.
He had been thinking about this for a long time, but had never been able to do it.
After carefully reading the application report, he looked up.
"Old Yang, can this be accomplished? I have been struggling for a long time and have not been able to accomplish this."
Director Yang was beaming with joy, confident: "This time it shouldn't be a big problem, it's not our initiative."
After saying that, he pointed towards the roof.
Mr. Chen understood: "Oh, so that's it. Then we have a good chance of success."
Director Yang pointed to the report in General Manager Chen's hand and said, "Take this and polish the technical parts. The writers in the factory office are not good at this. I'm afraid they may have missed something."
Mr. Chen rolled up the application and said, "Okay, okay, I'll ask Deputy Section Chief Wu to revise it and I'll check it again."
Deputy Section Chief Wu was the deputy team leader of the thermocouple project. He also participated in the research on ESR process improvement throughout the entire process. In the technical department, he was the person who was most familiar with the situation except for Gao Zhendong and General Manager Chen.
Director Yang nodded: "Well, you arrange your work, but tell him to be careful not to spread it."
"By the way, there is another matter. Please find someone to connect with Beijing Steel Plant." Director Yang remembered another matter.
"what's up?"
"Gao Zhendong's NF material trial production included a new process. We didn't pay attention to it at first. We just thought it was targeted and had no other use." Director Yang said this with a little heartache.
Mr. Chen knew the problem as soon as he heard it: "The results are universal?"
"Yes, Director Tan from Beijing Steel Plant called me personally. This process named argon-oxygen refining by Gao Zhendong can be used for many types of steel. He wants to co-sign with our plant. We are researchers, and they are assisting and promoting. Please report a new process research project."
"Where does Gao Zhendong have the time?" Mr. Chen shook his head.
Director Yang smiled and said, "We don't need his time. He has already figured out the core of the process and used it in the refining of NF materials. Why should he spend more time? Jinggang Plant has joined the team halfway, and it's their turn to contribute. The project application, promotion, finalization and acceptance are mainly theirs. We will just stamp our seals, and the necessary personnel will be present at the nodes."
Mr. Chen thought for a moment and said, "Well, that's about right. This thing is mostly used in steel mills. They are responsible for this work, so they can be considered as professionals. We just need to pick peaches."
Director Yang didn't like what he said: "We picked peaches? That's nonsense. They are the ones who picked peaches. You should follow up on this matter."
Mr. Chen agreed and prepared to implement it.
Before leaving, Director Yang suddenly called him: "Hey, hey, hey, Lao Chen, do you have any more tea?"
"No more!" There is some, but not much. Zhendong is on a business trip again, so I have to save it.
Mr. Chen returned to the technical department and immediately called Deputy Chief Wu.
"Chief Wu, here is an application. Please take a look at it, make some revisions to the technical content, and then hand it over to me."
When Deputy Section Chief Wu took the report and took a look at it, his face lit up with joy and he looked at General Manager Chen.
Mr. Chen has tried this matter many times but has never come to a decision. Has he made up his mind this time?
Seeing that Mr. Chen looked happy, he also reminded him: "Be careful, don't spread it."
Seeing Mr. Chen’s reaction, Deputy Section Chief Wu knew that the situation this time was different from the past and was overjoyed.
Everyone wants to improve, it's normal.
Seeing Gao Zhendong's momentum, Deputy Section Chief Wu realized that in a few years, the position of Technical Section Chief would obviously have nothing to do with him.
However, Deputy Section Chief Wu had nothing to say about this matter. He himself admired Gao Zhendong.
Hey, I didn't expect that he is super powerful. Come on, let's all ascend together. This time, there is no need to fight or compete. Everyone has a level, and everyone who sees it will get a share, and it is higher than I thought.
Everyone is doing well, that is the real well-being.
I happily put away the materials and went to my office to revise them. This matter is more important than anything else. Don't bother me with other things!
After he left, General Manager Chen called Deputy Section Chief Zhao and asked him to assist him and Beijing Steel Plant in implementing the AOD process project.
It’s called assistance, but in fact it’s just that Lao Chen sets the stage, and the rest is done by Deputy Section Chief Zhao.
Although every link in every chain and every link in the Technology Department's Technology Promotion Department has said not to spread the information, and the relevant personnel have also promised not to spread it.
But everyone knows that in this kind of enterprise, the real secrets can be kept.
But how can this so-called secret that is not a secret be kept?
Within one day, everyone who should know about this matter knew about it, and many people who had nothing to do with the matter also received the news.
This matter is being discussed everywhere. It is a rare and major event.
"Have you heard that Mr. Chen is arranging the promotion of the Technology Department to the Technology Division?"
"Hey, when has he not arranged this matter once in a year? There's no hope."
"It may not be the case this time. I noticed a lot of things happened in the technical department recently."
"You must be joking. If you want to promote a deputy director from the technical department, that's fine, but for overall promotion? How many positions would that require?"
"Well, in the first half of this year, the Technical Department wanted to transfer me there to be a section chief, but I didn't go because I thought there was no room for growth there. I never expected that."
"Relax, relax. Maybe I will succeed in upgrading this time. Hahaha."
"Hey, if the Technical Section is really promoted to the Technical Department, will Gao Zhendong, the director of the First Research Laboratory, also be promoted to deputy director?"
"No way, it's only been a short time. Besides, the First Research Laboratory was originally added forcibly. It's a temporary deputy section chief position given by the factory. Can I still benefit from it?"
"That's not necessarily true. Humph, I think you're just jealous of Director Gao!"
"Why should I be jealous? Stop calling me Director Gao every day. I don't think highly of you."
"."
Sha Zhu also heard everyone's discussion in the cafeteria and rubbed his head: "Hey, Zhendong's action is a bit too fast, okay, okay."
Liu Haizhong, who went to work on crutches and tried his best to embody the motto of "not leaving the front line even with minor injuries", couldn't help but say, "Pah, damn Yan Laoxier" when he heard this.
A man wearing a red armband behind him called out to him, "Comrade, you spit everywhere and don't care about public hygiene. You will be fined five cents!"
All this hustle and bustle has nothing to do with Gao Zhendong for the time being.
He was taking a break from his busy schedule to sort out the things he was doing.
In fact, the things he is doing seem complicated, but to put it simply, there are only three lines.
A line of management.
The matter of "Project Management System" has been completed. What remains is to collect the royalties based on the number of copies printed when the Machinery Press reprints the book. However, due to policy changes, I will not be able to receive this royalties for several years.
"Safety Production Management System" is nearing completion, and I have prepared backup forces in advance, so what I need to do is actually almost nothing. After I finish writing it, I will just throw it to Lao Chen and that's it. Someone else will take care of the rest.
In fact, when it comes to online management, the only thing left for you to do is take care of the security system.
The second is the non-information technology line.
On this line, thermocouples, 591, 592, 593, and ESR have all produced results, and the technology has been successfully transferred.
NF materials are being trial-produced, and the AOD process has actually been completed. The rest is up to the Beijing Steel Plant.
I have just got a line scan thermal imager. It’s still early days for me. I have to push it step by step later. There is no rush.
With this calculation, the non-information technology line is actually doing only one thing: trial production of NF materials.
The third line is information technology.
DJS-59 and the basic working environment, assembly compilation, and C language are all completed.
The technology that needs to be transferred should be transferred, and the technology that needs to be put into production should be put into production. Some small things have also been thrown to the computing institute to follow up.
On this line, it seems that there is only one thing I am doing: compiling an operating system. This is a long-term task and cannot be completed in ten days or half a month.
Apart from these three lines, what remains are some temporary and daily work.
When various institutes, laboratories, factories and enterprises come to me temporarily to communicate and ask for advice, that cannot be considered as serious work. After all, I just give them the principles and ideas and then walk away. It is their own business what they accomplish.
I agreed to work on the tank artillery stabilization system for the Grassland Iron and Steel Plant, and adapted the film "Military and Civilian Dual-Use Talents" that I was working on with Lou Xiao'e. This was just a hobby, so it wasn't a big deal.
Thinking of this, Gao Zhendong felt deeply anxious: it turned out that he was only doing two and a half things, and one and a half of them were almost finished.
What should I do when I am running out of things to do?
