Chapter 28 Fengtian

Chapter 28 Fengtian
Zheng Wenjie wore a simple and elegant black and red vest that fit his body well. He put on a suit with the meticulous assistance of the tailor shop owner. The black suit was tailored to fit him perfectly, showing off Zheng Wenjie's figure.

"I think this suit is very suitable for me, so I won't try on the white one. Please pack up my gown as well." Zheng Wenjie nodded with satisfaction and said to the shop owner beside him.

The shop owner responded and was very satisfied with his masterpiece as he looked at the tall and handsome man in front of him.

Zheng Wenjie spent a few more dollars to buy a small suitcase in the store, packed his clothes, found a restaurant that looked quite busy, packed up a few signature dishes, and seeing that it was still early, he slowly strolled back to Gong Ruomei's courtyard.

After returning to Gong Ruomei's courtyard, Zheng Wenjie put the dishes in the kitchen, went to the room, threw his coat on the bed, picked up a book from Gong Ruomei's bookshelf and started reading. The book was in vertical format, from right to left. Although he was not used to it, it was quite interesting.

Noticing that Gong Ruomei was about to come back, Zheng Wenjie put down the book and went to the kitchen to heat up the dishes. He took the book to the central hall and sat in the main room leisurely waiting for Gong Ruomei. Gong Ruomei didn't step into the yard until he had almost finished reading half of the book.

Zheng Wenjie looked at her strangely. Gong Ruomei looked unnatural. When she saw Zheng Wenjie, she stared at him blankly. Zheng Wenjie frowned, walked out of the main house, gently hugged her and stroked her hair.

Being held in Zheng Wenjie's arms, Gong Ruomei tried to hold back the tears that suddenly welled up in her eyes, but they still wet Zheng Wenjie's vest.
"What's wrong?" Zheng Wenjie asked softly.

Gong Ruomei raised her hand. Zheng Wenjie frowned as he looked at the tightly held telegram: "Your father doesn't agree to cancel the engagement?"

"My father is dead. He was killed by Ma San." Gong Ruomei said with a trembling voice and a slight cry.

Zheng Wenjie was stunned for a moment, then understood why Gong Ruomei was crying. He stroked Gong Ruomei's face with both hands and gently wiped her tears.

"I'm going back to Northeast China." Gong Ruomei looked at the man in front of her with a pleading look. The man who made her let down all her defenses and feel warm.

"Okay, let's go back to the Northeast together."

Seeing that Zheng Wenjie didn't hesitate at all, Gong Ruomei couldn't hold back any longer. She buried her head in Zheng Wenjie's chest and cried more and more sadly.

The train was emitting black smoke as it traveled.

We have been on the train for almost two days, and outside the window of the first-class compartment is a world of snow.

It was finally coming. Zheng Wenjie looked at Gong Ruomei sleeping on the bed and resisted the urge to suck blood.

These few days also made Zheng Wenjie clearly know how often he needs to suck blood. One person's blood can keep him full for three days. He will feel hungry on the fourth day. On the fifth day, he will have the urge to suck blood when looking at anyone.

If he doesn't suck blood for a week, he will probably go crazy.

Zheng Wenjie didn't want to create a few zombies for fun for no reason. He had endured until now only because he had arrived in the Northeast. Thinking of the blood food that could be found everywhere in Fengtian, Zheng Wenjie couldn't help but feel his Adam's apple rolling.

The Gong family has been rooted in the Northeast for decades, and they have a large family business. Now that Gong Yutian has passed away, the huge family business has not been swallowed up by Ma San. First, most of the family property has actually been requisitioned by the Japanese, second, Gong Yutian has not yet been buried, and Ma San still has some face. Third, the Gong family still has a group of loyal subordinates headed by the executioner Lao Jiang to protect them.

The train station in Fengtian was not as noisy as usual. Lao Jiang and the rest of the Gong family were silently waiting on the platform for the last person in the Gong family who could make the decision.

The monkey on Lao Jiang's shoulder would occasionally turn his head and look through the glass at the crowded waiting room. The elderly people sitting there were all famous figures in the Northeastern martial arts world, and the people standing behind them were all their disciples. Until the clanking sound of a train came from not far away, Lao Jiang stood up immediately, holding the knife handle at his waist, and the atmosphere in the waiting room suddenly changed.

Zheng Wenjie put a black coat on Gong Ruomei. Seeing that Gong Ruomei was still looking at him intently, he couldn't help but smile and said, "Don't look at me. You've been looking at me for two days."

Gong Ruomei rested her head on Zheng Wenjie's chest and murmured, "I can never see enough. Thank you for coming back with me."

"When you have taken revenge, marry me." Zheng Wenjie pinned a hair accessory woven into the shape of a plum blossom into Gong Ruomei's dark and shiny hair, and said in an irresistible tone.

Gong Ruomei raised her head and looked at Zheng Wenjie firmly and said, "Okay."

The train stopped in Fengtian. Gong Ruomei got off the train expressionlessly. Zheng Wenjie followed her and couldn't help but smile as he looked at a group of Japanese soldiers guarding the Fengtian Station.

Lao Jiang and his men came over. When he saw Gong Ruomei, the grief of Gong Yutian's life and death surged up again, but he still gritted his teeth and said to Gong Ruomei: "Miss, I'm sorry!"

Gong Ruomei shook her head and said nothing. She walked out of the platform quickly with Zheng Wenjie and the rest of the Gong family. She knew that Lao Jiang was not to blame for her father's death, but she still couldn't help but feel a little resentful towards Lao Jiang.

"Miss, many fellow martial artists have arrived upon hearing that you're back. The Third Master and the Fifth Master have also rushed over from the border." said a member of the Gong family.

"Lao Jiang, what do they want to do?" Gong Ruomei suddenly stopped.
Lao Jiang's face straightened and he held the knife handle: "Miss, everything is up to you. Now, only you can take charge of the situation!"

"Okay!" Gong Ruomei responded and quickened her pace. Although she had some complaints about Lao Jiang, after hearing Lao Jiang's statement, she only believed Lao Jiang among all the people left in the Gong family, and she didn't believe any of the uncles and elders sitting in the waiting room.

Zheng Wenjie understood a little bit after listening to the conversation, but he was even more surprised that Gong Ruomei's demeanor had changed since she got off the train. She became fierce and decisive.

Gong Ruomei led his men into the waiting room guarded by Japanese soldiers. She glanced around with a cold look. There were only three stools there. Two of them were occupied by the Third Master and the Fifth Master, and the remaining empty stool was placed opposite the two of them. Behind them were a crowd of their disciples.

Gong Ruomei came to the empty bench and sat down, lowering her eyes with a cold expression, waiting for the two to speak.

"In my opinion, we should kill him! But you, Senior Brother, have put a lot of effort into Xingyi. Your sixty-four moves were also taught by your father. If one of you is missing, the Gong family's inheritance will be broken!" said the Third Master with a serious expression.
After hearing this, Master Wu also went on angrily, "The disciple killed the master, and the junior sister wanted to kill the senior brother. Aren't these a bunch of unkind and unjust beasts? As for your senior brother, even your father can't defeat him. What right do you have!"

Zheng Wenjie looked at the two of them coldly without saying anything. He has never been a talkative person. Rather than talking, he prefers to take action directly.

Wu Ye sighed and continued, "Second Miss, your Wu Ye and I are both old. We have come all the way from the interior to tell you these words. It's all for your own good. You can't be ungrateful! Live a good life!"

Gong Ruomei raised her eyes and said, "If I don't avenge my father, my life will not be good."

There are thousands of reasons not to seek revenge, but only one reason to seek revenge is enough.

The hatred for killing my father is irreconcilable!
